EMSO, the management subsidiary of EndoCenter Partners, delivers the complete package of services required to manage all the non-physician aspects of endoscopy center development and operations. Because EMSO handles all of the details, our physician partners can focus on providing patient care while enjoying the benefits—and facing none of the hassles—of owning a center. Our physician partners rely on EMSO to plan and develop their centers. Our planning and development work includes all pre-opening services. From securing financing and permits to construction and equipment purchasing, we make sure our physician partners are proud owners of a state-of-the-art facility. EMSO also negotiates managed care contracts so that our partners receive the highest reimbursement rates possible. EMSO assumes responsibility for accreditation and quality assurance at our centers. We obtain state licensure, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) certification, and Medicare accreditation. We handle every aspect—from application to on-site surveys. When it comes to staffing and operations management, EMSO takes care of recruitment, training, and supervision of all non-physician support personnel at the center. We also provide comprehensive oversight for the nursing staff, select and maintain clinical information systems, and purchase all equipment, supplies and medications used in the endoscopy center. EMSO manages the administrative functions related to billing and collections and provides all financial services, including planning, reporting and accounting services.
