Recruitment, Training and Supervision
Proper management of human resource issues for both full time and
part time employees is a major responsibility. Non-compliance with
current government regulations or mismanagement of staffing issues
can lead to conflicts and lawsuits. EMSO removes this burden from
our physician partners. We hire, train, and supervise all non-physician
support personnel for the endoscopy center. We also take responsibility
for all human resources policies and management tasks, including
the provision of salaries and benefits. Because of our size, we
can obtain group discount pricing on employee benefits, especially
for medical, dental, and life insurance.
Nursing Services
Despite the national shortage of nurses and technicians, EMSO has
a strong track record of success in recruiting and retaining the
best clinical staff members for our partners' endoscopy centers.
We provide comprehensive oversight for nursing staff, including
maintaining updated accreditation standards, setting and reviewing
quality assurance standards, assuring clinical competency and certification,
and managing all protocols and incident reports.
Clinical Information Systems
Through developing and managing 14 centers, EMSO has identified
the best practices for using technology tools to streamline both
business and clinical documentation, including credentialing, accreditation
and inventory control analysis. Standardization of systems and procedures
has led to greater efficiency and financial savings, for a healthier
bottom line. We install and maintain all required information technology
systems and provide user training and support as required.
Purchasing
EMSO manages the purchasing of all equipment, supplies and medications
used in each endoscopy center. We use a state-of-the-art electronic
purchasing system to reduce costs and because of our bulk purchasing
power, we can negotiate substantial discounts and contracts for
equipment repair, biomed checks and facility services. Our physician
partners benefit financially from the operating cost savings we
are able to pass along.
